Rob Crusher has over 35 years of experience in Executive and Non-Executive roles, encompassing Commercial Management, Operations Management, and Business Development, largely in the fields of energy asset management, environment, water, waste, and logistics.

Rob was Regional Director at Veolia, Commercial Manager at ENGIE, and Head of Energy at Scottish Water prior to establishing an independent consultancy practice. Rob also has considerable consultancy experience from his time at AEA Technology (now Ricardo-AEA).

These roles have given Rob a wealth of experience and background in a wide range of projects covering energy generation, energy-from-waste, renewable energy technologies and applications, district energy projects, energy contracts including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), energy markets and risk management.

Rob’s Non-Executive roles span the period from present day back to 2005, where he provides strategic and advice and governance to the Energy Agency and more recently East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust; both are ALEOs (Arm’s Length Organisations) providing public services on a commercial basis.  Rob is also a Non-Executive Director of EARL, a start-up SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) company which was established to develop and operate a run-of-river hydro generation project from scratch.

Rob is a graduate of Leeds University and Strathclyde Business School and is a Member of the Energy Institute, a Chartered Engineer with The Engineering Council, and a member of AMBA (the Association of MBAs).
